The CRUX BEBMW-42 Bluetooth Connectivity Kit is tailored to integrate mobile phones with vehicle infotainment systems in select BMW automobiles with Fiber-optic based Systems, including Mini vehicles. It seamlessly integrates the mobile phone book for ease of accessibility and also features best-of-breed synchronized A2DP (music streaming) capability into the factory installed (OEM) audio system.

FACTORY RADIO, AFTERMARKET FEATURES

Crux's BEBMW-42 Bluetooth interface expands the functionality of your factory BMW system without replacing the radio, great news considering that stock systems with fiber-optic lines are nearly impossible to change. Connect this interface to your existing radio, and you'll enjoy the convenience of hands-free calling using your Bluetooth-equipped phone. You'll use your factory radio buttons or your existing steering wheel controls to control your calls. And since you're not fumbling with your phone, you can safely keep both hands on the wheel.

Install the included external microphone in a good spot for the best reception, such as near your visor or on top of the steering wheel column. You can also adjust the microphone volume so your callers can hear you clearly. The Crux interface allows you to pair up to ten Bluetooth-equipped phones simultaneously, so other drivers and passengers can use their phones as well.

TUNES SERVED UP WIRELESSLY

In between calls, you'll need something to occupy your drive time. The Crux BEBMW-42 interface also lets you listen to your favorite music wirelessly from your compatible phone via Bluetooth. The Crux interface uses the factory CD changer input on your factory radio for audio streaming. So while you will lose the factory CD changer, you'll gain a huge range of audio sources from your smartphone. And if any calls come in, your music will be be muted so you can hear your caller on your factory speakers. Turn it on, turn it up, and enjoy.

Important Note: You'll have to access the rear of your BMW's radio to install this Bluetooth adapter. If you're unfamiliar with installing car audio gear, we recommend that you use a professional installer as this is a tricky installation.
